布魯克林大橋公園之八：帝國富頓渡輪區


「珍的旋轉木馬」三年前才搬到東河旁邊，很快成為紐約的一個地標，而且它其實已經高齡92歲了。木馬們原本的家在俄亥俄州的Idora遊樂園，可惜遊樂園在競爭對手崛起和大火侵襲下，1984年關門大吉，同年，布魯克林開發商David Walentas和太太Jane標走了這座華麗古典的旋轉木馬，並在2011年安頓到布魯克林大橋公園裡。Walentas夫婦也是讓當波這個倉庫工廠區發展起來的人。

The original home of this carousel was the Idora Park in Ohio. 1984, after facing competition from other amusement parks and severe fires, the Park closed. The beautiful 92-year-old Merry-Go-Round was sold to Brooklyn developer David Walentas and his wife Jane. 2011, Jane's Carousel opened in Brooklyn Bridge Park and soon became an icon of Dumbo.
